	On Thursday, April 24, 2008, Ocie Fisher and the Hipp Dogs were inducted into the Northwest Arkansas Music Association (N.A.M.A.) Hall of Fame. This is a singular honor that caps a 5-year effort by the band to support live music, and in particular, the Blues genre. (can you use that term when speaking "blues"?) Ms. Ocie Fisher, a regional music legend, sang an acceptance speech that brought the crowd to its feet with applause. The inspiration was felt by all. It has been my pleasure to play with such dedicated and inspiring musicians, and it is a rare situation in which 6 musicians find not only a common interest in music, but are able to successfully negotiate their personality styles. Between moments of greatness in performance (that's right, I said it) and the other moments of everyone playing a different song in a different key at the same time, the Hipp Dogs have found that groove that all bands seek, where music, discipline, inspiration and the moment, conspire to inspire. Our Fans: without our fans we are nothing. The band's energies rise and fall as the dancers come and go. We are rhythm addicted and nothing brings us greater pleasure than a full dance floor. Over the years many of you have come to all of our performances, or attempted to....I've even received phone apologies from those dedicated loved ones who were going to be out of town during a gig. Thank-you for your love and support. The local Pros: We would also like to thank J.T. Huff and his Audio company for such excellent support over the years, whether it was Gulley Park, Bikes-Blues, or The Circle of Life concerts, J.T. and his gang have been wonderful to work with. We also send great love to Neal Crawford of Jose's who has supported the band through the years, Susan Porter of the Free Weekly and the annual NAMA awards, Brian Crown and his effort to bring the band to Bikes Blues and Bar-b-que, and of course, the UARK BOWL and Bethany Caps for her continued effort to keep the band practicing and playing. I would like to personally thank Bill Dollar, Coy Hurd, Ocie Fisher, David Ervin, Jay McDonald and Richard Alexander for 5 years of bliss and angony that certainly represents the Blues. It is my pleasure to predict another 5 years of performing regionally to the pleasure of our families, friends and colleagues.
