What a Concert!!! The temperature was 100 degrees and the place was packed. The crowd was estimated to be 3,500 people. The tent was completely filled and people were spilling over onto the lawns, parked in cars, and simply everywhere. We played for a little over an hour...lots of cheering and clapping. We were extremely well received. We even had our own DRESSING ROOM with snacks and "acoutremonts" (extra stuff)!! Our favorite photographer, Jackie Jasper, was shooting the whole scene (coming soon).

We can only say "thank-you" to Amy Smith of Mailco, who invited us to participate, and everyone associated with LETSBRINGTHEMHOME.ORG, who put on one of the classiest, best organized, best run, charity events I've seen in NW Arkansas. Congratulations.

And a HUGE THANK-YOU to Kelly and Chris and all the gang at the AMP. What a great crew! We were up and running in 30 min. with killer sound. You guys really brought out the best in the "Dogs". Thanks guys!

What an amazing concert for PFC Adam Watkins, injured while serving our country in Iraq. All the musicians, sound guys, cooks (oh, yes, there were chicken dinners, hotdogs, hamburgers and all sorts of food), and the organizers really stepped up and responded to the call.

Dr. Walter Bottje wins the award for unsung hero in his efforts to organize this wonderful event for Adam and his family. He was hoarse by the evenings end although his fiddle playing fingers were just getting warmed up.

There is no way we can repay the sacrifice being made by our American soldiers in all the theaters of the world. Our returning veterans need our support more than ever and hopefully we were able to contribute our small effort to this cause.

Every band gave a little taste of their talents during the 7 hour event at Parsons Community Center in Springdale. Ocie and the Hippdogs got a great reception and we even got some of the crowd to get up and dance, which of course pleases us to no end. Nothing like a little Texas Two-Step to the classic song "Fever".
